Short Mat International is a glossy magazine entirely dedicated to the sport of Short Mat Bowls.

This is the opening page of what is intended as an extensive site with some of the news, articles and photo's reproduced from Short Mat International. Hopefully a chatroom will be added for on-line discussions but this may be some way off. All this is around the corner, so please revisit in the future. In the meantime, the full monty is available in hard copy, by snail mail through your letterbox, as the website will only reproduce part of our magazine contents, when we can find the time. - Editor BobW.

THE RULES OF THE SPORT - Also nicknamed controversy corner, as our contributors and readers try to understand and explain the rules and what may be right or wrong with them.

HOT SHOTS - Certificates and lapel badges are awarded FREE to subscribers who score an 8 shot maximum on a single end in a rink 6 shots in a triple or athree bowl pairs etc. All players' names are listed in the magazine, along with their match details. Certificates & badges are also available for team-mates.

INTERNATIONAL EVENTS - reports on the British Isles Championships main and "A" team championships, plus the British Isles Inter-team challenge and the World Championships.
